I Mursi sono una tribù nilotica molto simile ai Surma/Suri di cui ne condividono parecchi usi e costumi compresi il piattello labiale, le scarificazioni e le pitture corporali; la differenza più marcata direi che sia la stazza fisica perchè i Mursi sono generalmente più alti e con fisici più muscolosi. Quest' uomo lo abbiamo fotografato nei pressi del mercato di Jinka, la città più vicina alla zona dell' Omo in cui abitano e dove dai cittadini sono visti con una certa diffidenza a causa del loro carattere brusco e spesso irascibile... Io sempre preferito i ritratti frontali con lo sguardo dritto in camera perchè penso che siano più coinvolgenti per chi guarda la foto ma quest'anno, ho provato anche qualche profilo che non mi dispiace..
