Choice is not easy .. :-D In version b / w is certainly more interesting than the sky, but personally I still prefer the original version as I think best highlights the first floor where the snow is much more light ..
Hello, Carmel.

I like most in this bn, I can see better shadows and highlights and shadows on this I can not tell you to lighten the snow, stands out so well
everything is more defined, his eyes follow the herd lingers on various slopes and then finally dwells in the sky, wondering if it's just a lull or if the snow is coming back

nothing good to say

hello

The b / w is certainly well contrasted and absolutely intriguing, I really like the sky as well as the areas of the sheep.
I am not convinced in that area full of mountains that have cleared, it is perfectly in line with this b / w crisp but perhaps a little 'forced.
In areas outside the zone of snow perceive a little 'what I call (metallic effect), where the surface seems to take on different reflections from the natural ones, in my opinion is a consequence of vignetting, if so I would try to reduce it or remove it altogether in that area.
Colour or bw, it is still a very nice photo.

Carmelo thank you for returning my photo, perhaps for the almost total absence of color in the original photo we say that is not so obvious difference between the one and the other version so I understand your choice.
I salute you and thank you very much

Gianmarco, black and white, always leaves room for different elaborations playing with contrasts in different areas, here I wanted to highlight the gap between grass and snow in the color version was definitely less noticeable.

If you like this version more then we are 1 to 1, even add the answer to Max, who wrote to me that he prefers the MP BN so we are 2 to 1 on the BN.

hello and thanks for your interest

With Beppe would say that it will not lean towards one or the other for which 3 to 2 for the BN

In the outer areas of the zone of snow perceive a little 'what I call (metallic effect)

I understood very well what you mean and I agree with you, it's just the effect of vignetting
for the area of ??the mountains I wanted to give a bit of character to the background in the original because it seemed a little off, but definitely more suited to the situation of the sky at the time.

thanks again for your comments

hello, simone

I really like both color in BN. The repetitiveness of the elements in the foreground leads the eye toward a sky that takes all forms :) Congratulations

Hello Simon,
I also participate in the "game" and I say goals for the BN! :-D ;-)
The "treatment" of the clouds creates a nice game of the mirror with the remnants of snow, giving a further key to understanding the picture ;-)
I must say that I really like your picture at both compositional for the texture of the grass is crushed .. maybe a bit "weak" the landscape in the background but because his role (in my view) is more than another to separate the foreground from the sky that's okay! ;-)

Thank you for your contribution Magh, lead the eye toward some focal point is always the worry in my photography, but do not always succeed, thanks for visiting.

Herman, the background color was really weak, black and white, I tried to make it there, but I may have also exaggerated, but still remains a background, here if you play the first floor and sky, mountains in the distance are the only 'Tonight's match:-D

thank you very much for your comment.

Hey simone!! The thing I like most is the cut that has this picture, really brilliant ...
I also really like the sky, despite the strong light ...
also interesting foreground, sharp and you see that has been carefully thought out ;)
compliments as always ... you deserve it!

The color versions to be honest not my thing, as appreciable compositional idea, I think the picture performance was not the best.
Seeing the version I have to say that BN has definitely a why, for me there is no comparison, in BN is a different music for the eyes:-D

But look a little who is heard, the wolf dell'orsaro was down the hill and came to find me:-D

hello Fabio resent that pleasure, even if you are an unfortunate, because I've just abandoned :-(
Thank you for your analysis, I'm still undecided on the B & W but I think it has much more character.
I do not know if I can have your reply, but what do you think is missing in that color? contrast, light, color, shadows is not as bad as framing.

hello and the next, I do not know when but I will always hope. ;-)

you're right I'm a bit went into hibernation last period:-D, but I hope to come back, the rest I can not leave just entertain you and Max, from what little I've read I see that you are enjoying the last period: - D
What's wrong in my opinion? Well it is not easy to determine this, there are things that are so and maybe sometimes do not even know why.
The color version might find it a bit flat, BN in my opinion you create the right contrasts that give life to the image ... maybe that will tend to have a soft spot for the BN, but I would not doubt about which one to choose.
The composition is nice, because even if the composition was ugly, I would not even in BN:-D

Thanks, that's what I thought on the plate, I was not so convinced of the shadows too open on the grass and the sky just fell, in fact, bn I increased the contrast a bit general.

ok, I sent you an MP because I did not want to lose your response, it eliminates all ;-)

however, the gang is spreading, I, max, gianluca mayor, Gianmarco Schena and also thinks Catherine, laughing and joking but in the meantime let's talk about someone else fotografia.spero also join the forum but it is a difficult task ;-)
When you want to know where to find us.
