Anche se non è una vera e propria linea, gli alberi che escono dalla nebbia sono distribuiti formando quasi una diagonale che si spinge verso l'angolo in alto a sinistra (l'ultimo albero è quasi invisibile tanto è avvolto dalla nebbia, ma c'è e si vede) mentre nell'altro sono sparpagliati in maniera disordinata nella composizione.
Anche i raggi di luce che attraversano gli alberi vanno nella stessa ipotetica direzione, il massimo sarebbe stato averli dall'altro verso ma non si può avere sempre tutto dalla vita.
