ll complesso di grattacieli di Marina Bay Sands è costituito da tre torri curve, di 55 piani ciascuna, sormontate da una suggestiva piscina a sfioro posta ad un'altezza di 200 metri dal suolo. Ciascuna delle tre torri ha design e geometrie uniche, con curvature variabili lungo i lati est delle stesse. Le torri si innalzano alla base in due metà separate prima di ricongiungersi al ventesimo piano (nel caso della torre 1).Il fiore all'occhiello dell'intero complesso è rappresentato dallo SkyPark, una piattaforma a sbalzo che sormonta i tre grattacieli del Marina Bay Sands. Lungo 340 metri e capace di contenere fino a 3900 persone, si presenta a forma di barca e ospita la più lunga piscina sopraelevata del mondo. Non mi è stato possibile visitarlo perchè è un privilegio dei residenti dell'hotel disposti a pagare 600 euro per notte...All'interno dei tre grattacieli sono presenti grandi atrii di collegamento, larghi 40 metri nella prima torre e 10 metri nella terza. Anche le altezze degli atrii sono variabili da 20 piani, nella prima torre, a 6 piani nella terza. Nelle prossime foto che pubblicherò vedrete meglio quanto sono grandi. Ogni sera, alle 20,30, le tre torri si illuminano al ritmo di musica e con esse i numerosi "alberi della vita" simili al nostro dell'Expo di Milano.
