Se sono arrivato a fotografare anche con 5 flash (vedi foto risalita con pesce), è perchè è stato fatto un lavoro costante e graduale in modo da abituare il martino alla luce dei lampeggiatori.
Paolo Fioratti usava la tecnica dell'illuminazione mista nelle sue foto al martin pescatore nel lontano 1985.
Per dovere di cronaca il martino fotografato ieri, sempre con tre flash, è lo stesso della foto qui sopra (pensa te quanto l'ho stressato)

Ricorro all'uso del flash ogni qualvolta vado a fotografare il martino, perchè il soggetto me lo consente e perchè la location me lo richiede.
Un giorno mi spiegherai la differenza tra i colpi di flash in analogico e in digitale.
Dovresti essere al corrente che se vuoi una illuminazione flash che si fonda con quella naturale devi usare il (o i) lampeggiatori depotenziati, altrimenti lo sfondo risulta tutto buio.
In quanto all'uso dei diffusori dipende, se c'è sereno oppure no.
Qui non si tratta di emulazione, ma di esperienza fatta sul campo, di ore rubate al sonno, al freddo a battere i denti, lontano da stufette a gas.
