Yes, but... Is my technical question on the first page entitled to an answer or are the comments only for compliments and applause? Is it a photography forum or are we on Instagram?

I agree with the request; it would also interest me to understand something more ;-)

In theory with crop 1.5x, 1000mm and Barlow 5x, more than 7.5m (7500mm) of focal length you do not have them... If I don't catch glare or I don't sin of ignorance at some point.

Regarding the question about the equivalent focal length, in my opinion the point is that we must not take into account only the crop factor 1.5 of the APS-C sensor, but also (and above all) the fact that using the Magic Lanter firmware, the author of the photo was able to make a video of a much more cropped portion of the sensor. Taking into account that crop factor (which I do not start to calculate but it would be enough to make the proportion between the "full" resolution of the camera and the resolution of the cropped video) probably you reach the equivalent focal length cited by the author.

Ah it's not the whole sensor. Ok then it can also come back, if it is a central cutout!

Eh yes the fantastic thing about that firmware is that it could make a video (among other things RAW) of the only central crop thus greatly increasing the frame rate! A crazy genius makes me want to go back to Canon! Unfortunately there is no such thing for Fuji I'm afraid...

And unfortunately Magic Lantern also goes on the old models, not on the new ones

Agree. years ago I had to give away my 600 x a 750D on which unfortunately you can not install ML :-(

avatarjunior

eh you should get an old Canon that supports ML! But that also has the adjustable screen that I find indispensable for use with the telescope (with my old 1300D fixed screen, I had to flatten on the ground to see the screen well :-P )

Thanks for the answers, in fact it would take us as an explanation. Of course if the author answered we would know for sure... :-/

ML I had it on both 100D and 70D and the latter had adjustable screen. Great machine (apart from the sensor)
