, 1/2500 f/4.0, ISO 640, hand held. Specie: Gypaetus barbatus

Ciao Palo Pala! <3

Do I consider the news of the paw in necrosis to be very serious because of the rings? Do I get it right? But it is possible that these shamefully invasive systems can still be used today.

[QUOTAS] I don't understand why they can't replace lead with another metal that doesn't cause poisoning
Andnol is a bit of a long talk, André and I talked about it. To cut a long story short " the reasons" are that with metals such as copper that are much harder than lead, the bullet would only make a hole without yielding kinetic energy (hydrodynamic shock) if the animal is not hit at a vital point it goes to die with a long agony.

Antonio will probably know more in the next few days, but probably so
Thane Bigio, you have clarified my ideas on this topic on which I was really ignorant

I too did not know or imagine that this was the reason, thank you for the information, but that there are no other solutions

Sad story that I thank you for sharing. On my side the Valligians strenuously defend the philosophy of selective hunting. I remain convinced that nature knows how to do better to find its own balance and that we tell ourselves baggianate (here baggianate Emanuele has not yet inserted it :-))

it is a really complex talk Fabrizio, because with all the mess that has been made in the past talk about nature (with a capital N) in Italy is really a bit on the edge ... the most striking example is the wild boar... unfortunately where we put the beak we do more squabbles than anything else, then somehow we try to remedy it but the signs remain

"... this absurd and anachronistic "sport" they call hunting in a civilised society makes no sense to exist!"
Ably shareable.

Exceptional portrait of gipeto perfectly inserted in its mountain habitat. The light on the head is magical. The sad story doesn't take anything away from this image

a displeasure that the beautiful photo only eventually manages to reduce.

Thank you all
We hope that action will be taken at European level... and that so many hunters learn to shoot better

I agree with all the bad things about hunting, which is now just an anachronistic activity.
Do't forget that this beautiful animal happened another really serious thing, the rings caused gangrene of the paws.
Ok hunting sucks and I shout it with you, but do we also want to be outraged about the practice of ringing? Is it possible that there are no other methods in 2021?

You are right, it also affects me and I am very sorry, in addition to the beautiful photo and for what it may be worth, You have a memory that you have lived closely, and hoping that it no longer happens that an animal loses its life due to Lead poisoning ... !!! A big greeting... (MGNELLO)
