La cima del Penegal, con i suoi 1737 metri di quota, costituisce il più spettacolare tra i punti panoramici lungo la cosiddetta Costiera della Mendola, catena montuosa che separa la Val di Non dalla Valle dell'Adige: lo sguardo spazia dalla conca bolzanina al lago di Caldaro con sullo sfondo, mirabile sipario, le creste dolomitiche delle Odle, dello Sciliar, del Catinaccio, del Latemar .. niente di tutto questo appare però nello scatto poichè il mio interesse, in quel magico momento, era tutto per la splendida luce radente che un ultimo raggio di sole stava regalando ai larici trentini prima di coricarsi dietro le nevi dell'Adamello! ...
