L'Allium ursinum, comunemente chiamato Aglio orsino è una pianta bulbosa perenne appartenente alla famiglia delle Amaryllidaceae. Si trova in tutta l'Italia, ad eccezione della Sardegna, tra 0 e 1500 m. slm. nei boschi di latifoglie, luoghi ombrosi ed umidi, e particolarmente nelle vallette umide in colonie numerose su terreni fertili e ricchi di humus. Fiorisce da Aprile a Giugno. il nome del genere “allium” sembra di origine celtica “all” che significa caldo, bruciante, acre, com'è infatti il sapore dell'aglio. Il nome specifico ursinum = degli orsi, forse in riferimento agli ambienti boschivi su cui preferibilmente cresce, oppure in base alcune credenze popolari potrebbe derivare proprio "dagli orsi" che appena svegliati dal letargo invernale, sarebbero ghiotti di questa pianta, col quale depurano l'organismo rimasto a lungo fermo. Lo scatto è stato effettuato nel mese di Maggio del 2019 sulle pendici del Campo dei Fiori (VA) a circa 1.150 metri di quota.
