Sulle note malinconiche di Bon Iver si conclude la mia recente esperienza in Alaska. Tra le tante immagini presenti nella mia mente, ne custodisco una in particolare; quella di un bambino che perennemente scalzo corre gioioso verso il fiume dietro casa, fiero di se bagna i piedi e con i sassi sulla riva inventa un'infinità di giochi. Negli occhi luccicanti di quel bambino rivedo la mia infanzia, i miei figli, ed anche noi adulti. Quella corsa a piedi scalzi è simbolo di libertà e spensieratezza quanto le ali di Icaro. Del resto, anche nel quotidiano chi non ambisce al famoso “attimo di pace”, al benessere dei sensi? In quanti cercano di fuggire dai propri demoni? Durante il campeggio al Wonder Lake, al cospetto del “Great one” (monte Denali), oltre a contemplarne l'imponenza, ho potuto scorgere in ognuno dei presenti, come una condizione più essenziale, faccia riemergere quel bambino che a lungo è stato messo in castigo dal superfluo a cui da tempo siamo abituati. Ognuno con il proprio rito, nel silenzio della meditazione, poggiando l'occhio sul mirino, respirando profondamente, per una volta vivendo il presente, pronto a riscoprire il fanciullo che dimora in se, per un confronto che stavolta non permette vie di fuga.
