… per i nostri amici Alberto e Marta la sveglia era programmata alle ore cinque, un'ora dopo erano sotto casa nostra e poi via verso la Val Maira (CN) il punto di partenza dell'escursione ad anello che ci eravamo proposti di fare, era proprio alle sorgenti del Maira (1628 m), siamo arrivati sul posto dopo due ore e mezza di auto, controlliamo gli zaini, sistemiamo i bastoncini telescopici ed inizia la salita verso la nostra meta, erano quasi le ore nove e l'itinerario prevedeva un dislivello di circa mille metri, costeggiando il L. Visaisa, il Bivacco Bonelli, il L. d'Apzoi, il L. delle Munie (2542 m) e gli imponenti Gruppi dell'Oronaye e dell'Auto Vallonasso, le nostre salite erano sempre fatte in tranquillità per godere al massimo del paesaggio circostante senza stressarsi troppo, motivo per cui ci eravamo soprannominati … “i passo lento”, verso le ore 12,30 giungiamo al Passo della Cavalla, il punto più alto dell'itinerario, decidiamo quindi di fare una sosta per far riposare gambe e piedi e attenuare le lamentele provenienti dai rispettivi stomaci, ci sediamo in cerchio ed iniziamo finalmente a mangiare, quando improvvisamente Marta esclama … ma .. Alberto!! … le scarpe!! .. al che rivolgiamo naturalmente tutti gli sguardi verso i scarponcini di Alberto e scoppia immediatamente una risata generale, in quel mentre, lui si accorge che anche i calzini erano differenti. Ecco cosa può accadere quando la sveglia è all'alba e gli scarponcini da montagna sono conservati nell'apposito armadietto per l'attrezzatura da montagna, nel box auto e ad ogni paio di scarponcini sono già state abbinate le relative calze.
