La signoria di Casorate fu donata dall'imperatore Lotario al vescovo di Pavia nell'849 che non la mollo' per nove secoli. In questo periodo venne edificata questa chiesa, monumento significativo, dedicata a San Vittore Martire. Pare, comunque che esistesse già nel V-VI secolo una Parrocchia Prepositurale dedicata a San Vittore, un martire ucciso fuori dalla porta Vercellina fra il III e il IV secolo dall'Imperatore Massimiliano. Archittetonicamente, la Chiesa presenta un esterno, tipico delle pievi lombarde, e un, interno molto più bello dell'esterno. Tre navate con colonne tonde e quadre con capitelli dorati, soffitti a volte affrescate. Bella cupola affrescata con angeli. Nelle varie cappelle laterali si possono vedere bei dipinti.
