Castello di Binasco Il Castello Visconteo del comune di Binasco è un monumento storico-artistico edificato nel 1300. Il nucleo originario della fortificazione fu eretto a protezione della città di Milano, temendo le incursioni dei nemici. La costruzione era a pianta quadrangolare con quattro torri in corrispondenza degli angoli, i fronti continui in muratura sono in cotto, la struttura di copertura è composta da travi di legno. Nel lato nord, il Castello Visconteo mostra i segni di bifore risalenti al '300-'400, che si possono vedere rifatte in parte. Nell'angolo nord-ovest si possono vedere i resti della torre distrutta, mentre all'angolo opposto si trova attualmente l'unica torre superstite. Il lato est è quello più visitato e interessante: si possono vedere le bifore e le merlature antiche e, al di sopra dell'ingresso originario, il simbolo del biscione visconteo. Una curiosità, il Castello Visconteo di Binasco è conosciuto per una tragedia che si consumò tra le sue mura: Beatrice Tenda, sposa in seconde nozze a Filippo Maria Visconti, fu ingiustamente accusata di adulterio, condannata a morte e decapitata.
