Michelangelo Buonarroti, Galileo Galilei, Niccolò Machiavelli, Vittorio Alfieri, Gioacchino Rossini e lo stesso Ugo Foscolo sono i nomi più illustri fra i tanti artisti, scienziati e celebrità che han trovato sepoltura entro le mura della Basilica! ... Santa Croce è simbolo nobile e prestigioso della potenza e della ricchezza della Firenze di un tempo ...
