Le highlands islandesi sono una regione montuosa (vero paradiso per geologi e fotografi) raggiungibili in 4×4 nei soli mesi estivi; un gioiello grezzo fra i più preziosi d'Islanda, da scovare sulla cartina in un entroterra impervio, totalmente privo di centri abitati. Ma poi, una volta provata l'ebbrezza di trovarti lì, in quel pezzo di mondo che pare atterrato da chissà quale pianeta, ecco che quel posto diventa quasi familiare… ti si stampa in testa e non ne esce più! Un luogo dove le strade sono piste dissestate che ti devastano schiena e stomaco, lanciate fra montagne dai colori extraterrestri; uno spazio deserto e magnifico, dove la terra ribolle fumo e la lava inonda distese sconfinate dominate dal nulla! No, i superlativi non bastano… sublime, unico, straordinario, stupefacente, meraviglioso. Le highlands sono uno di quei posti che ti restano dentro per sempre! Spero vi piaccia. PS: nella foto mi vede sul bordo del cratere, alle prese con foto e video, prima di sedermi e ammirare in silenzio lo spettacolo.
