Not to forget-dedicated to the great Juzzino Emmegiu sent on January 07, 2019 (19:57) by Giovanni e Davide. 47 comments, 1430 views.

Honor to the fallen. One of the many examples that borders make sense as there are people who have fallen to defend their homeland.
on the shot: for personal taste I would have opted for a conversion on the NL with dark vignetting to make the scene more dramatic.
See: Https://www.juzaphoto.com/galleria.php?t=2925896&l=it
Also I would have treated the falling linne of the crosses putting them vertically ;-)

Touching and beautiful dedication to his friend Emme, how many poor boys of the time have had to forget the carefree and freedom that you young should expect in law.
also my grandfather made the Great War, was captured in Caporetto and made captivity in the Balkans, but returned alive fortunately.
Many compliments and a big hug to you John and David
a greeting
Pierpaolo

Dear as always from your images and comments shines through the extreme sensitivity that distinguishes you.... It is true in our mountains is still very alive the memory of the tremendous First World war and the immense sufferings and sacrifices that has led to our ancestors. I associate myself to your commemoration..... not to forget....

"Devils... It is with this nickname that the soldiers of the Sassari Brigade began to be called by the enemies... Red Devils, because the soil of the karst had coloured their uniforms...."....
Honor to these young people who have given their lives for the fatherland and to defend our borders...
Nice shot..
a greeting.

Hello Rod, thank you very much wonderful photographer friend Juzzino for the beautiful words that always write to us, we posted this image to remember that many young boys from Sardinia and not only, they died fighting (for a war they did not want ) in the Venetian mountains, still today the cemeteries of war, the Walkings, the trenches, the forts, make think, are moved.
Thanks Rod, good day and Sunday :-) :-)
