A Roma il nuovo cavalcaferrovia a Ostiense, inaugurato il 22 giugno scorso del 2013, è intitolato a Settimia Spizzichino, unica superstite della retata del 16 ottobre 1943 nel ghetto della capitale che condusse gli ebrei romani ad Auschwitz. Settimia era un personaggio molto popolare a Roma: aveva perso ad Auschwitz tutta la sua famiglia e aveva scelto di diventare il testimone vivente dell'orrore dello sterminio, perché nessuno potesse dimenticare. Portò avanti il suo impegno senza soste per combattere le ideologie nostalgiche del nazismo e del fascismo. Ha vissuto fino al giorno della sua morte il 3 luglio del 2000 alla Garbatella. Nel corso degli anni è stata una grande testimone e memoria storica dell'Olocausto in Italia. Ponte Settimia Spizzichino, anche noto come Cavalcavia Ostiense, è un viadotto di Roma che sovrapassa la linea ferroviaria Roma-Lido e il percorso della linea B della metropolitana.
