Loneliness on the east sent on June 14, 2018 (19:23) by Simokashi. 54 comments, 1005 views.

M.te Rosa, parete est. Agosto 1987. Fotocamera Yashica FX 3 super 2000. Recupero da diapositiva.

Sacrosanct words Dear rosary, you should never underestimate the unexpected and take every precaution. Unfortunately, a fatality can happen even to the most experienced, but I assure you that in many years of sightseeing I have seen to make certain imprudences to people not to be able to believe... heartfelt thanks for the nice comment, it is always a pleasure to exchange two words with you. A dear greeting!

The east of M. Rosa is our wall Rupal in small... we do to say of course. Nice picture that expresses the power of the mountain. Interesting the attached story. I don't know the character described. How many of these pioneers some crazy have remained strangers. Nice work Simone.
Bye Josh ;-)

One I met personally, a colleague of mine working in those days (80s), a boy of 24 years with a fixed goal: the Matterhorn. After attending a couple of climbing courses, he leaves alone for the company of his life, although we all sconsigliassimo him. Arrived just above the peak Tyndall, on the Italian side, surprises him a furious storm, nestles inside a hole dug in the ice and spends the night there, on a broad ledge like a bed tied to two ice axes :-o!!! From the refuge of the Orionde ', where luckily he had said what he wanted to do, part of the alarm and the helicopter begins to look for it just makes clear. Not to make it too long, they find him at two in the afternoon trying to get off and take him to the hospital immediately. When he returned to work, a week later, he still had the trembling voice and his eyes barred with the fear felt... thank you very much Josh for the Welcome intervention! A dear greeting!

Fantastic story Simone, I didn't know anything about this Zaidi. If he was an American we had already made a film.
Thank you for having reported this fact and for posting this beautiful vintage photo.
A hug
Pierpaolo ;-)

Sad story, he died together with his beloved solitude, his mountain. Imposing to the point of awe. Beautiful shooting Simone

Very good Simone and thank you for this panorama that I love very much and that reminds me of many beautiful trips to Macugnaga.

This shot was made from the Monte Moro Pass, a beautiful balcony to admire the beauty of the wall and to walk with the eyes and with the help of a good binoculars some of the main roads to climb to the "four thousand" of the massif. Heartfelt thanks for the welcome visit and Maximum appreciation, a dear greeting!!

Hello Simone I read with interest the umpteenth improvised feat. It ended well and that's what counts. The Mountain and Caesar (you know him later) I have immediately taught two things: be masters of the situation in every circumstance, but above all never make the step longer than the leg and sapewr give up when it is time. It's an old saying that fits the brush. I have seen all the colors and I can assure you that of misfortunes happen few in proportion to the risks that people run. I went up with his friend Mauro to the lion's tooth then we gave up on the too many rocks that drained the Matterhorn that day. Hello and Next.
Josh ;-)

I share in full what you say, unfortunately, sometimes, something turns crooked already of his, and you can not do anything, but just andarsele to look for is unforgivable. And above all it is important to understand if and when you break the feeling between you and the mountain, when the discomfort exceeds the joy of being there, when you feel that sense of insecurity become important, as happened to me on the great paradise, the last photo with which I will close this Gallery. It's hard, but you have to understand that it is time to leave the pace... thank you so much for your always appreciated intervention Josh, a dear greeting!
