Da quando l'Egitto ha cominciato ad essere meta di turismo, gli egiziani, hanno saputo costruire strutture idonee tali da soddisfare i gusti anche del turista più esigente. Oltre alle fantastiche crociere, dove le navi, sono molto simili ad hotel a 4 stelle, alla cucina internazionale alle guide preparatissime e che parlano benissimo la lingua del gruppo che si trovano a guidare, si sono fatti carico di tutta una rete di uomini, che, meticolosamente vegliano sugli antichi siti, attenti a raccogliere anche solo una piccola carta dal pavimento. Tutte le volte che sono andata in Egitto, ho sempre incontrato questi uomini, rigorosamente avvolti nelle loro tuniche, aggirarsi fra le pietre, all'interno e all'esterno dei templi. Sono persone metodiche, non amiche della fretta, fanno tutto lentamente e con cura maniacale in religioso silenzio. Per me, sono diventate figure familiari, e non manco mai di fermarmi un po' con loro, porto sempre qualcosa di loro gradimento: sigarette, magliette e un po' di dolci con qualche euro. E' bello vederli sorridere e stringerti la mano con gli occhi che esprimono tutta la loro gratitudine. Commenti, consigli e critiche sempre super graditi. Grazie.
