, tripod. Etna, Italy.

Commentating later than initially seeing and liking, I saw the original and was astonished how much work you have done to remove all man-made intrusions. The result is an other wordly landscape of astonishing beauty.

Really thanks to everyone and everyone :-)
I do not mention you one by one, but I appreciated your every comment.
A cumulative hug.

Although I've never been to Catania

Really Claudio?
Despite the buildings, it may happen that in the afternoon there are special lighting conditions and if the salt pans are in activity can leave beautiful photos. A piece of advice, with high galoshes, you risk getting stuck and here they seem like quicksand. Once I saw it bad because I collapsed with one foot and I could not get out: -o So eye, feel good before passing close. If you feel too gelatinous, you desist.

Thanks for the advice Nicolò, the next time I go down to Catania I will try to pay a visit. Azz type quicksand! If I'm not mistaken some time ago the vulcanelli have also reaped some victims because of sudden explosions ... I'll try to be careful.

Hello Claudio

Dangers of explosions are close to zero Claudio. Regarding the quicksand I was not precise in the explanation, the consistency is different (it looks like clay) but if you get close to the largest pools you can sink even up to the knee and seems very dense ... so to go out you have to pull out ;-p Not to mention that you inezzi everything. It would take wooden boards to distribute weight.

Well yes, "deconstruction" has a certain effect ...
In the area in terms of deterioration over time, nothing has ever been lacking. Even a large gypsy camp fortunately dismantled today ...
The vulcanelli do not look at anyone, so suddenly you see them emerge in the middle of the road in the backyard or in the center of the stadium as happened a while ago, making it otherwise unsafe .. Area however "quite quiet" compared to that of Maccalube near Agrigento where sudden and violent explosions have claimed victims a few years ago and therefore now banned.

You said everything well, Andrea. That's right, not so long ago a vulcanello visited one of those houses built in a wicked way right on the salinelle area. But human idiocy manages to go further and then the havoc remains there. I've never been to the Maccalube instead. I hope that that area (also because of the danger) has been respected more.
Thanks for the ride Andrea, hello.

Ok, I had obviously mistaken memories. It was, as rightly stated by Andrea, another area with dangerous volcanoes. However both interesting phenomena.

Greetings.

Very good! Excellent result.

Your sensitivity to wanting to improve the conditions in which Sicily is (which I know very well) makes you honor. There were like you.

Rosario, I had inserted it to satisfy the curiosity of some users. Then I took it off because I would like those who look at this picture was just a journey with the mind, a journey into the past and there remained ;-)

Thanks also to you and Ann! :-D
