Milano,6 dicembre 2017 - Si è illuminato questa sera il maestoso albero di piazza Duomo. C'ero anch'io con alcuni amici juzzini, ad applaudire e a cantare “O mia bella Madunina” L'accensione dell'albero, alto più di 30 metri e decorato con 100.000 luci a led, è stata accompagnata da una coreografia di luci e colori realizzata grazie a migliaia di braccialetti luminosi distribuiti gratuitamente ai partecipanti. L'albero di Natale di Sky in piazza Duomo rimarrà acceso fino al termine delle festività natalizie, il 7 gennaio. Ma dove ha origine l'addobbo dell'albero? Lo scopriamo da alcuni appunti di Ingrid Busonero. Pare che nonostante le molte leggende circa la nascita dell'albero di Natale, la più antica risalga al 1605 circa, e racconta di un signore tedesco in visita a Strasburgo, che vide in quella città, per la prima volta, un albero addobbato a festa per il Natale, con decorazioni fatte con la carta, con la frutta e con dolcetti; • le leggende religiose narrano che l'abete era uno degli alberi dell'Eden, noto come Albero della vita, ma quando Eva mangiò il frutto proibito, fece appassire le sue foglie trasformandole in aghi, e facendole rifiorire solo la Santa Notte in cui nacque Gesù Bambino. • Un'altra legenda sempre religiosa vuole invece che sia stato Adamo a dar origine all'albero di Natale infatti secondo i racconti, quando fu cacciato dall'Eden, porto con sé un ramoscello che in seguito divenne proprio l'abete che servì per la Santa Croce e successivamente per l'albero di Natale. • Un'altra leggenda invece narra di un taglialegna, che mentre faceva ritorno a casa in una notte fredda e ghiacciata, ma illuminata dalla luce della luna splendente, si trovò di fronte agli occhi un meraviglioso spettacolo: grazie alla luna, attraverso i rami di un pino ricoperti di ghiaccio, si potevano ammirar le stelle che brillavano. L'uomo restò meravigliato da quella visione e volle riprodurre qualcosa di simile da poter mostrare alla moglie che lo aspettava in casa, così tagliò un piccolo pino e lo decorò ricoprendolo di candeline e tanti nastrini bianchi, come per rappresentare le stelle, la neve e il ghiaccio. • L'albero così bello e candido piacque così tanto a tutta la gente del paese, che in ogni casa decisero di farne uno uguale. • Un'altra leggenda narra di un povero boscaiolo che inoltratosi nel bosco per cercare un ceppo da bruciare nel camino, si perse e fu costretto a passare la notte nella foresta, dove peraltro nevicava fitto fitto. Il povero ragazzo stava morendo dal freddo e si riparò sotto ad un abete, che impietosendosi al vederlo tremare, decise di proteggerlo e ripararlo con i suoi rami, piegandoli verso il basso, quasi fino a terra, e quando la mattina successiva (il 25 Dicembre), il ragazzo si svegliò sentendo le voci degli amici che erano andati a cercarlo, tutti rimasero stupiti dallo spettacolo che creò l'abete grazie alla neve che si era posata sui rami: c'erano tante decorazioni scintillanti e splendenti che brillavano al sole! Così da quel giorno la gente del villaggio e tutte le persone decisero di decorare un albero per ricreare quella meravigliosa atmosfera, con luccichii e candeline. Qualunque sia la vera storia legata alla tradizione dell'albero di Natale, son poche le persone che riescono a rinunciare a questo simbolo; si stima che ogni anno in Italia ogni singola persona spenda circa 120 euro in decorazioni e addobbi vari, gran parte destinati ad abbellire l'abete o il pino. La commercializzazione dell'albero reciso incominciò nel 1851 a New Yorkcreando non pochi disastri nelle foreste che apparivano spoglie e disboscate tanto che il presidente dell'epoca, Theodore Roosevelt si rifiutò di decorare la Casa Bianca con alberi di Natale, al fine di contribuire alla salvezza delle foreste. Proprio per questo motivo, nel 1880 in Germania, furono prodotti i primi alberi artificiali, che avevano inoltre come vantaggio, una maggiore resistenza al peso degli addobbi rispetto agli alberi veri.
