In via San Maurilio, una delle zone più fascinose della città, c'è il Bistrot-Ristorante San Maurì. Si trova a poca distanza da Piazza Duomo. Lasciata la caotica via Torino si snoda via San Maurilio, uno di quei vicoli della vecchia Milano che ha mantenuto fascino e atmosfera. Fa parte del nuovo distretto delle 5vie, dove l'antica Mediolanum romana si svela fra botteghe artigiane, indirizzi fashion e palazzi borghesi impreziositi da giardini interni ombrosi e fioriti. Un dedalo di vicoli che si intrecciano fra il Carrobbio, Piazza San Sepolcro e il Cordusio. L'origine del locale risale al 1500, quando gli interni ospitavano un convento. Ne rimangono poche tracce, come l'antico pavimento in pietra. San Maurì nasce da un attento restauro stilistico, seguito dall'architetto Angiolina Pasteur, che ha riportato alla luce i delicati ricami in stucco dei soffitti e le originali vetrine in vetro e specchi che, quando il locale si svuota la notte, scorrono sui loro binari chiudendosi a scrigno- I proprietari, i fratelli Luca e Giorgio Raffaghelli, sono giovani, sulla trentina, ma hanno sviluppato, già da diversi anni, un'esperienza nella ristorazione milanese. Il menù di mezzogiorno, con cucina espressa, è studiato per pranzi di lavoro. E la sera risplende il fascino del tempo, per momenti all'insegna del cibo di qualità. Si cena a lume di candela, e si riscopre la memoria storica dell'arte culinaria italiana, respirando quel fascino tutto parigino dell'antico bistrot.
