at 300mm, 1/500 f/2.8, ISO 100, tripod. Sabi Sands Game Reserve, South Africa. Specie: Panthera pardus

This leopard was resting after doing something I have never seen in any documentary. He had taken down a young zebra and true to his immense power dragged it 10 meters up into a tree above a dry creek bed. Now I have seen leopards drag something the size of an Impala up into tree branches but never something the size of this zebra. Although we did see the zebra remains in the tree and others before us had taken photo's of this big boy with the zebra, we were a little late to the party and he was back down on the ground.

Thank you Carlo, Marco, Marco, Sergio, Elias, Fabio, Caterina, Steff, Claudio and Enrico : )
Fabio I think were no more than 10-12 meters away. In Sabi Sands you can get as close as 1-2 meters as often the leopards will walk around the vehicles. Closest I saw was about 3-4 meters. It is handy to have a zoom lens in Sabi Sands.
