Finalmente dopo i primi tre giorni di temperature anomale ecco che arriva il freddo del nord, La prima neve tanto attesa , non abbondante ma quella che basta per dare l'atmosfera giusta e modellare il paesaggio .Le temperature precipitano a -14 , vento forte che crea una piccola bufera di neve . Il paesaggio diventa fiabesco e come in tutte le fiabe c'e un re .Questo grosso maschio vagava solitario alla ricerca di cibo vicino alla costa ,il ghiaccio nella baia ancora non si era formato e quindi lo spostamento alla ricerca di foche non era possibile, l unico nutrimento veniva da bacche o qualche carcassa portata a riva dal mare .Fotografare in queste condizioni non è stato facile, ma l emozione nel vederlo cosi vicino in tutta la sua bellezza e possenza ha prevalso su qualsiasi cosa .
