La rue Saint-Séverin è una delle più antiche strade di Parigi ', in quanto risale ai primi anni del 13 ° secolo. In un primo momento esistente solo tra la rue de la Harpe e la rue Saint-Jacques , si è successivamente estesa verso ovest dalla ex strada per unirsi alle Rue Saint-André- des Artes.Lungo questa strada, si trova Saint Julien du Pauvre, considerata la più antica chiesa di Parigi. Il numero civico 9, che è quello del ristorante della foto, risale al 17° secolo. La via fin dall'ottocento, è stata un via vai di intellettuali e di artisti che dalla vicina Montparnasse, si spostavano qui, fra Notre Dame e Saint Michel, per ritrovarsi nei bistrot e nei caffé dell'epoca. Notoriamente, in questi quartieri e fra vicoli, si è sempre svolta la vera vita bohémien. Attualmente, sono sempre super affollati da parigini e turisti, perché hanno mantenuto integre le loro caratteristiche e l'atmosfera che si respira, con un po' di fantasia, è ancora quella dell'otto e novocento. Il ristorante Le Vieux Paris, è uno dei più antichi, da quando avevo vent'anni a oggi che ho superato i sessanta, lo frequento sempre con lo stesso entusiasmo perché, vi ritrovo i vecchi amici di una volta, per farci una bella mangiata alla faccia della dieta.
