Deliziosa cittadina inclusa nel club de "I borghi più belli d'Italia". Nel 2015 il suo Duomo è stato dichiarato dall'Unesco Patrimonio dell'umanità. Il centro storico di Cefalù ha un impianto medievale caratterizzato da strade strette, pavimentate con i ciottoli della spiaggia e il calcare fornito dalla Rocca di Cefalù. Viene considerata una città murata, cioè una città dove ancora, all'interno del centro storico circondato da mura (anche se parzialmente inglobate in alcune abitazioni), si vive stabilmente con negozi e altre attività commerciali e dove ha ancora sede, il palazzo comunale.
