Hvítserkur è un faraglione di origine basaltica che ricorda un dinosauro che si abbevera. Secondo una leggenda locale, Hvítserkur era in realtà un troll, rimasto pietrificato dalla luce del sole. Quella sera al tramonto eravamo solo noi, quando ho iniziato a scattare le foto è arivata una coppia cinese sulla cinquantina, lui ha piazzato il cavalletto e ha iniziato a fare foto, lei, invece, ha tirato fuori il suo smartphone e ha iniziato a fare foto a me. (probabilmente davo l'aria di essere un pro con gli scarponi che affondavano tra la sabbia e l'acqua)
