Come ha detto Fabio si tratta della Spartan Race, una gara di corsa a piedi con ostacoli naturali ed artificiali da superare nel minor tempo possibile, il percorso di gara viene reso più impegnativo con abbondanti annaffiature per creare fango ed ostacoli scivolosi.
Una gara che viene presa molto sul serio da alcuni atleti a livello internazionale ma che viene vissuta anche come un'esperienza divertente da moltissima gente che si unisce in gruppo per aiutarsi a vicenda.
Personalmente, a parte gli atleti preparatissimi, mi sono piaciuti molto quei concorrenti che prendevano la gara per divertimento in gruppi di 5/10 persone alcuni dei quali parecchio in forma che aiutavano i più deboli, o le fidanzate, a superare tutti gli ostacoli.
La ragazza della foto non fa parte di questi ultimi, correva con un'amica e correva per la classifica anche se non era certo tra le concorrenti più forti.
Devo dire che ho fotografato gare di motocross e autocross in condizioni abbastanza estreme ma in questa occasione mi sono conciato proprio male, nel senso che ero bagnato e pieno di fango e anche l'attrezzatura si è sporcata un po'.
Per fare le foto in questa zona bisognava stare vicino agli irrigatori, ho scoperto a mie spese che quando si aprivano era un vero diluvio.
