A real show, beautiful photos.
You have written well, the species in Italy is currently in a bad situation, the main cause is the destruction of nests during the wheat harvest or cutting hay.
You happen to locate the area where nest, now many females are on the eggs, you can activate you by contacting the owner of the field to try to delay the harvest, involving environmental groups or the provincial guards, there are funds to compensate the farmer who leaves a surface of grain in which is located the nest

Antonio, Wow! this is a great shot. Love the pose/expression, The excellent detail, the wonderful plumage display, the lighting, and the simple yet elegant setting. The eye is sinister and captivating. Well composed and caught in the moment for a good effect. Wally

beautiful species portrayed great with beautiful light and excellent sharpness !! Compliments!!
In fact it is a shame not to be able to see a lot more on our fields, because when it is in the chase with flying low on grain ears is a unique spectacle !!!
Ps if you have the possibililtà, since it is a crop, I would try to give more space underneath, because it is a bit 'cramped and gives the feeling that the tail is cut off, even if you do not see. ;-)

Thanks Mark, Luchix, abdallah, David, you're right for the cut under David inserivo but if the rest of the elements were in excessive noise, the tail is hidden entirely from the concrete post, is not even cut it seems :-) ;-)
Good w.end, Antonio

for cutting under're right David inserivo but if the rest of the elements were in excessive noise, the tail is hidden entirely from the concrete post, is not cut even if it seems

Then there is little you can do so better than with disturbing elements on the roost !! ;-)
