,

Big picture, albeit delicate manages to tell the adversity that these trees have to face in their lives. Among others, the Pollino is a harsh environment for photographers who want to face ... then double congratulations! ;-)

Thanks a lot to everyone!
Andrea: Thank you very much for the compliments! This is part of a long work I have done over the Pine Trees Loricati Pollino. In the course of a year it was almost four months in the Park, in different seasons, to make a story by images of these trees that have fascinated me in an extraordinary way.
Obviously the part of far more complex and difficult was the winter.
Realize my dream photo has been possible thanks to the help of so many extraordinary people of the place and also thanks to the Luminous Landscape Grants for Photographers who funded me, from the United States, most of the project.
In the coming days I will publish here other images taken in the Pollino!

Very nice compliments, I really like the colors and contrast of cold shadows and warm light!
If you allow me I would like to ask you a couple of things:

How did you work at this picture, and especially the tone, you used the d & b?
Maybe it's just me but I see different tones / colors both highlights and shadows ... I see a much warmer light / orange in the snow illuminated in the foreground in the illuminated area beneath all 'right tree.
And always in the 'right tree, the "hole" between the trunk and large branch, has a shade more cyan is not it?

It remains a beautiful picture is clear !!! ;-)
