Margherita, figlia del signore del castello di Tures, secondo la leggenda si innamora del Capitano del castello. La giovane decide di propria iniziativa di prendere in sposo l'amato, realizzando il proprio desiderio di nozze, sebbene il vescovo principe di Bressanone, zio e tutore, non approvi la decisione.
