con Nikon TC-14E II, 1/250 f/16.0, ISO 400, tripod. Specie: Athene noctua

Capanno picchi

The shutter speeds for the owl are as shown in the photo to the moon esprorre I only open the diaphragm and lead to f8
No illuminator only a set of 3 flash.
Thanks Mark.

I personally would have removed the flowers near the roost but it is a detail that no way detracts from the beauty of this ONE shot.

I do not know who is your photographer who inspired this shot. Mine 'a talented Spanish photographer, whose name is Mario Cea.
The big difference and 'you've made, and I am still dreaming.
That said, knowing a little world of nightclubs, (by the way, for those who are still doubtful about using flash for the owls, I can confidently testify, that if everything is done with common sense and competence, not in the least disturb the subjects, and Marco, you can clearly see, competence and common sense has plenty), I said that your result, and 'a mix of patience above all, determination, perseverance, technical knowledge, aesthetic taste and an innate talent !! ! I do not want to overdo it over ... but very few clicks can convey emotions like this!
Thanks for having conditionsface.

I am stepping stone to compliment although that Fabio who teams up with Marco I am. I compliment because neither I nor he alone perhaps we could do this shot. Not because this requires some kind of shooting effort itself, but to get to do that because they are served months of hard work that only together we managed to carry on.
I agree with Claudio and I want to reiterate, the flash does not create problems for well used night.
Often those who claims he's never even got to experience firsthand what is claimed.
Much worse to use it in the daytime rest which inevitably find themselves disoriented and forced to fly in the dark!
The gallery of owls of Marco contains shots that date back to October up to this released two weeks ago.
The subject is always the same, not photographed in3B to carefully plan even more improbable shots.

So ... applause. a photo of the ones that really make their mark, as rightly written Memy :-)

if I can, as "microconsiglio" to enhance even more this exceptional shooting propose to "even out the temperature of the light sources" ... that the moon has a beautiful yellow and hot load while the flash of light that illuminates the owl has a temperature slightly colder. I would see very well the shot or trying to cool a bit 'yellow moon or a warm coat on light owl (I honestly do not know which of the two solutions could have the best effect) but I unify the two lights would bring an added plus! 8-)

having said that ... even a thousand compliments, the picture is absolutely spatial and deserves it! : -)

As if you can!?, You must!
I'm here to be critical, recommendations and opinions!
He does not say nice feeling grows.
One thing I had noticed me too but my laziness in post production has taken over!
Heartfelt thanks Dexter!
