Anche la cura formale che si esprime attraverso l'annullamento del rumore digitale trovo sia, seppur importante, del tutto secondario comparato all'interesse che una scena rappresentata può suscitare rispetto ad un'altra che, pur rispettando tutte le regole del manierismo formale, non riesce sulla base del contenuto a scalfire lo stupore o suscitare l'interesse profondo in chi osserva.

Magari lo faccio in modo indegno, non riuscendo talvolta a conciliare lo scatto con la perfezione formale, tuttavia non riesco a relegare la fotografia a qualcosa che, a mio modo di sentire, risulta troppo simile a una collezione di ritratti o poco più. Non ne ho la certezza, ma suppongo che se mi dedicassi esclusivamente a quest'ultima tipologia di foto forse otterrei risultati migliori dal punto di vista della nitidezza, della pulizia dell'immagine e via dicendo.
Spesso, giustamente, ti soffermi a farmi notare cali di nitidezza o rumore eccessivo riguardanti i miei scatti, ma cosa dovrei scrivere nell'esprimere con sincerità la mia opinione sotto i tuoi? Che sono perfetti, ma usuali, di semplice esecuzione, spesso ritratti statici che generano una concreta sensazione di "déjà vu". Ma sarebbe poco rispettoso in virtù di quella molteplicità di impieghi cui si presta la fotografia che ti citavo in precedenza.
Un autore, inarrivabile, che mi piace più degli altri è Steve Bloom: ho un'intera raccolta delle sue opere; bene, di rado nelle sue foto riscontrerai perfezione formale assoluta, ma il potenziale espressivo che evocano è formidabile. Forse la cura della forma non è tutto, allora: c'è dell'altro.

Louis Ciao Momo, riguardo Bloom mi riferivo in particolare ai mossi e ai panning che sono suggestivi spesso nella loro imperfezione: sulla cura della post-produzione tu sai che si avvale di uno staff di collaboratori preposto a questo scopo (come ho appreso leggendo su una rivista un intervento riguardo una sua foto di delfini in salto). Mauro, non è mai facile coprendersi del tutto quando alla conversazione di persona si sostituisce il linguaggio scritto, ma vorrei dire due cose: che io non sono affatto un fotografo di un altro pianeta come dici, ma uno che come tutti alterna buone cose ad altre tremendamente sbagliate o poco significative e poi vorrei aggiungere che se ti cimentassi un giorno in un percorso di fotografia più "di ricerca" penso sinceramente che la tua grande capacità di trattare le immagini anche dopo lo scatto produrrebbe risultati di gran lunga migliori dei miei (e di molti altri).
