Venezia, case popolari dell'Area "Ex Saffa" (progetto "Gregotti Associati" 1984-1989). Da tempo avevo notato quel singolare murales: un strano omino di sembianze extraterrestri blaterante, emergente dalla pavimentazione come da una eccezionale acqua alta di cemento. L'ho fotografato più e più volte (come, penso, tanti altri di noi) , ma senza coglierne alcun senso. Poi due fatti: una foto dell'amico Maron ("Exit") che mi ha fatto riflettere sulla natura di quell'area e sulla vita che vi si dipana e un colloquio con una inquilina, innamorata di quel posto ma costretta ad abbandonarlo dopo pochi giorni per uno sfratto. Sensazioni e parole: la foto è venuta da sola e mi parla! Mi piacerebbe sapere se quelle parole raggiungono anche qualcuno di voi.

Secondo me, invece, una volta che la foto (come qualsiasi atto creativo, peraltro) è pubblicata acquista una autonomia propria e vive la "sua" breve o lunga esistenza, a prescindere dall'intento dell'autore: mi piacerebbe comunque parlarne con chi ha realizzato il murales! Quella dell'autore, se non la più importante, è senza dubbio, comunque, diciamo, una "interpretazione autorevole", che provvedo subito a dare, vista la tua giusta e gentilissima richiesta ! ;-)

Tratterei in modo separato il lato formale dell'immagine da quello del "significato" che si voglia dare, anche se, alla fine, vedrai assonanze significative. Dal punto di vista di ideazione della immagine (qualcosa ho già riportato in didascalia, e fa parte integrante del discorso) ho scelto d'acchito (foto, alla, fine scattata al volo con il collega che doveva andare in bagno!) la partizione in due campi uguali (con buona pace, ahimè, della regola dei terzi!) nettamente contrapposti per forme e contenuti, da una parte l'omino su campo bianco (la forza della luce) , dall'altra le scritte su campo scuro ('inquietudine delle tenebre). Tale scelta era necessariamente da operare in ripresa (con tutti gli accorgimenti del caso) perché in realtà i due campi sono distanti una decina di metri! Nella ripartizione ho deciso subito di lasciare la fascia verde scuro nella metà di sinistra (non è la metà esatta perché non volevo tagliare troppo scritte, e qui forse ho infranto un'altra regola, quella di simmetria, mah!), come primo ostacolo del sistema di implosione che trovano le parole urlate dall'omino. Passando ora al significato, se leggi bene quanto scritto prima dal punto di vista formale hai anche una risposta al significato che io attribuisco alla foto: l'omino per me sta uscendo con forza dal pantano, non si sta inabissando; le sue parole bucano la prima cortina e rimangono, seppure in forma vaga, nell'ambiente sociale dove si trova, quindi una speranza c'è, sta a noi, tutti, riprenderle, dargli una forma e rilanciarle, questo per il bene di Venezia (in particolare, visto il contesto) e dei suoi abitanti, sopratutto quelli più indifesi. In sintesi ti posso dire che il primo titolo non aveva il punto di domanda, poi, ragionandoci l'ho aggiunto: spero di aver avuto ragione!
