finally see Richard as by photograph, and can we tell him
wow! Wow!
Azz, even at sea level the effect is overflowing:-D:-D

for blacks I have not even checked the histogram
mica should always consult the various software ... much better than what we say our view. Apart from this shooting (in which you, for me, did well to keep it that way), I generally prefer to give a little more contrast of your past to strengthen the impact. Do not darken, eye, but slightly counter. True what you say of our view but there is (again for me) the difference between a dynamic view "real" and a static view like that of a photo. I do not have much experience but if I remember correctly even Slide were contrasted to a fair level senzBut to make losing details (in case of correct exposure, of course). But how do you write rightly, are eventually personal taste; then, tastes can change, and now you can with raw (thankfully) lose the hand ...

Guys, that's not a twig but solid rock resting on another rock solid as they contemplate the landscape:-D:-D:-D, Riccardo be careful that they are in possession of your plastic poses while photographers;-) during the excursion. I could make improper use:-D

Hello Massimo
I think the comparison of Dia does not hold, because admitting the correct exposure, everything depended on the scene ripresa.prova to take a picture in the fog and see what pops out of contrast, only now with the digital image even in the fog we can make a picture cover. ;-)
contrast it gave him the film (net of small differences between film and the other as well as the color rendering) but only the condition of light ripresa.la great power of digital is in modifying the yield of such light conditions , the problem is only stop where you begin to go as it were against nature;-)
hello
Simone

Beautiful shot I like the composition with man and island in opposing diagonale..mi less like the rocks in the bottom left that for me are too.

the contrast it gave him the film (net of small differences between film and the other as well as the color rendering) but only the condition of light ripresa.la great power of digital is to modify the yield of that lighting condition, the problem is only stop where you begin to go as it were against nature

The contrast of course depended mainly from light, with the film but in 5.5 ev you went from full black to pure white if the scene as so often included them both ..adesso we walk in 9 ev and this logically has a strong impact on the tones average that are compressed and appiattiti..poi everyone has his vision but the yield of dia erin much of the current raw countered on this there is no doubt;-)
Hello There:-)

but how could I remove the rocks on the left: - / already the subject's position seems to me that most exasperated, cut the hair really does seem too, sorry but this time I do not understand: - |

I photographed for about 15 years with the dia (my favorite velvia) not misono never made problems contrast, gamma, etc. etc. because in those days you had available and what point basta.non are a technician and you know, I say to Sometimes real rants, are more moved by instinct and feelings in all these years that photographer so I could not hold a technical discussion with tand, but lately I'm looking at the nature with eyes that with the camera, and I am becoming aware of details that I did not notice before, and just for the digital I 9 ev you're talking about, maybe it helps me better understand the sfumature.sono convinced that the analog has now had its day, and the digital, if used with full knowledge knows better describe the reality. The problem that most of the time because of its extreme potential and malleability is used only for distorting it.
thanks for the thought

but how could I remove the rocks on the left

I meant changing pdr if possible, otherwise I would have suggested to trim, which in this case as you say it does not work;-)

I agree that digital can distort the realtà..in many different ways .. the issue is extremely complex, trivializing and condense in a few concepts is the worst mistake you can fare..ti would refer to the many discussions on the subject but it would be a penance inhuman;-):-D

Best wishes:-)

Congratulations fantastic picture, do not usually prefer the landscape with human presence but this time I like a lot because of the sense of proportion of what is admired in the shot. :-)
Again congratulations

Umberto, camporeale and Fulvio thanks for the contributions.

Fulvio
because f4?

boh? :-D:-D:-D no definitely want to leave open the aperture to get more blurry area around the subject, I left with 200mm focal with that setting isolating more Fabrizio ,, but then I made this wider 80mm and could also close the iris, the shutter speeds permettevano.ma me know my limits, and not using it almost never the canvas, probably was not the right choice, because I wanted to blur the background is almost clear: - (.. however the result in the end I do not mind.

a greeting

There are photos that might be a different and together and this is one of those if you have fun playing with the cutter, you can isolate the different plans ranging up to get lost in a pleasant haze at the bottom; if you prefer to focus his gaze on the human figure might be simplifying and pleasant a vertical cut that the "glue" to the dark mountains behind at the same time enhancing the contrasts between the illuminated rocks closer and woods in front, at the same time enhancing the ease of a few essential elements. Simplicity in photography always pays. But certainly your shot is definitely influenced (and it is also apparent from your words) by the feeling, less cold and more sentimental, emotional participation of the show you've been able to enjoy live. Some live shots so, from a feeling and a memory ... and perhapsmay or may not be triggered. Hello
