L'esperienza con il piccolo rifrattore FRA400 è stata indubbiamente molto positiva, pratico, immediato e robusto. Ma fin da piccolo, nel mio immaginario, il telescopio è sempre stato il NEWTON. Il più semplice degli schemi ottici ed il più iconico. Ingombrante, poco immediato e molto molto delicato. Ma quando lo si monta e collega alla strumentazione, quando lo si vede muoversi assieme alla montatura puntando un qualsiasi soggetto della volta celeste, si rimane sempre piacevolmente entusiasti.
Lo scatto non è un granché, occorre un buon intervento per migliorare il TILT, ma Iota Geminorum (Propus) è meravigliosa da vedere con il newton
