Really an interesting and beautiful shot, documenting not so much the now consolidated presence of griffon vultures, but rather that of the much rarer black vulture in the Cuneo Alps. Recently, looking back at some old shots taken in the Cuneo area and dating back to the summer of 2023, I realized with great surprise that I too had photographed him in flight, albeit at a great distance. Davide Davvero un interessante e bello scatto, a documentazione non tanto dell'ormai consolidata presenza dei grifoni, quanto piuttosto di quella del ben più raro avvoltoio monaco sulle Alpi cuneesi. Recentemente, riguardando dei vecchi scatti effettuati nel cuneese e risalenti all'estate 2023, mi sono accorto con molta sorpresa di averlo fotografato anch'io in volo, seppur a grande distanza. Spero in nuove future opportunità di incontrarlo. Complimenti per averlo osservato in un contesto del tutto naturale e non in un tipico carnaio creato per gli uccelli necrofagi.

Nel 2024 ne ho visti parecchi, per tre volte ne ho visti 3 insieme, non sempre gli stessi più altri esemplari. Alcuni nati in Francia altri (anello giallo) in Spagna. E sempre nel 2024 avevano frequentato il cuneese fino a dicembre.
