Really an interesting and beautiful shot, documenting not so much the now consolidated presence of griffon vultures, but rather that of the much rarer black vulture in the Cuneo Alps. Recently, looking back at some old shots taken in the Cuneo area and dating back to the summer of 2023, I realized with great surprise that I too had photographed him in flight, albeit at a great distance. I hope for new future opportunities to meet him. Congratulations for observing it in a completely natural context and not in a typical carnage created for scavenger birds.

A really interesting document as well as a really wild shot. I didn't know that, after the bearded vulture and griffon vulture, the black vulture had also begun to colonize the Alps again. Wonderful news. Ciao |

Thank you maximum! Colonizing would be nice. In several places in Europe it breeds, and since I am close to the border with France, in summer they are often seen (4-5 times a year). In 2024 I saw quite a few, three times I saw 3 together, not always the same plus other specimens. Some were born in France, others (yellow ring) in Spain. And also in 2024 they had attended the Cuneo area until December. Grazie massimo! Colonizzare sarebbe bello. Alcuni nati in Francia altri (anello giallo) in Spagna. |

Let's hope! I had photographed them (with griffon vultures and Egyptian vultures) in Extremadura. Hello Speriamo! Io li avevo fotografati (con grifoni e capovaccai) in Estremadura. Ciao |
