Subjects :Gonur Depe, or Gonur Tepe, is a remote archaeological site in the Karakum Desert in Turkmenistan. The ruins, while not spectacular, they have a particular charm given by aridity and solitude of this place, well away from the usual tourist destinations. Council visit to the sunset.

Best months :All year round, but keep in mind that the summer months are extremely hot, over 40 degrees.
How to get there :Gonur Depe can only be reached by jeep and Mary is a few hours from the nearest town.
