Subjects : Mountains, Pristine Lakes, Waterfalls, abound. Early morning sunrises and late afternoon sunsets provide excellent landscape opportunities. Wildlife includes but is not limited to: Grizzly Bear, Moose, Big Horn Sheep, Bald Eagle, Mule Deer, Elk, Black Bear, Marmot, Pine Martin, Mountain Goat, Osprey, Wolf, Mountain Lion
Recommended equipment : SLR, Medium Format, DSLR, or Large Format camera recommended; Ultra-wide or wide angle lens, Super Telephoto for wildlife; Polarizer; ND Filter(s); Split ND filters; Sturdy Tripod should yield the best results. However, a compact digital or bridge camera can also provide excellent results.

How to get there : By Car:West Entrance - The west entry point to the Going-to-the-Sun-Road. From Kalispell, Montana, take US Highway 2 North to West Glacier (approximately 33 miles).St. Mary, Two Medicine, and Many Glacier Entrances - All three entrances can be reached by taking Highway 89 North, from Great Falls Montana, to the town of Browning (approximately 125 miles) and then following signage to the respective entrance. By Air:West Entrance - Glacier Park International Airport is located near Kalispell and is approximately 30 miles west of the West Entrance. Missoula International Airport is located approximately 150 south of the West Entrance.St Mary, Two Medicine, and Many Glacier Entrances - Great Falls International Airport is located between 130 miles to 165 miles east of East Glacier Park, St Mary, Two Medicines and Many Glacier Entrances.Car rentals are available at airports. Shuttles are available at the Kalispell airport.
Visits : There is a small entrance fee. You can pay daily, or weekly. Weekly was approximately $50 USD for three adults.
Notes : More than 700 miles (1,120 Km) of hiking trails; high elevations and rugged terrain; close wildlife encounters are possible and frequent - please be respectful of the animals.
