If, like me, you can find a place overlooking the coast, the main subject is of course the landscape that opens at 180 degrees, but having said that I do not exclude that you can experience some shots at the animals (especially lake birds) and, why not, even among the alleys of the village and small towns located on the shores of the lake.

Recommended equipment : For landscape photography I would definitely recommend a good wide angle or a medium canvas maybe to catch details in the distance (such as the rocky island in the middle of the lake). I also recommend using a good tripod if you plan to make panoramic montages, long exposures or night photos to the reflections of the lights of the countries in the water.

Best months : In my opinion this location is appreciable all year round.

How to get there : Through the SR2 encore and the SR2 travelling 114 km from Rome in an estimated travel time of about one hour and forty minutes.

Visits : You don't have to spend anything but a little time to visit the beautiful village of Bolsena or, even better, the fantastic city of Orvieto which is easily accessible in less than half an hour's drive via the SR71.

Notes : For a possible overnight or overnight meal stop I recommend the resort fireplace which is located just outside the main village about a 10/15 minute drive on the SR2 that skirts the lake. it's a good 3-star literally overlooking the coast from which you can make beautiful panoramas.
