Saint-Nicolas, VDA [Video] sent on June 04, 2013 (14:40) by Gabriele Prato. 45 comments, 3983 views.

This is my first time-lapse video. The photos were completely shooted in Saint-Nicolas in spring 2012, during a 5 days photography workshop about time-lapse. This beautiful small village is located near Aosta, in Valle d'Aosta, in the north of Italy. All the shots were done with my Canon EOS 7D, in raw, and then revised with my iMac in Lightroom 4 and LRTimeLapse for deflickering. I developed the video with Premiere Pro: GBdeflicker help me for a further deflickering. For some clips I also used the power of After Effects. Thanks to Mountain Photo School and in particular to GAntico for the advice and suggestions. Backstage pictures: http://flickr.com/photos/gabri_prato/sets/72157631731495635/

So many of my thoughts and opinions in this regard already know them very well, dear!
For my part, with all the good intentions of the photographer sometimes clumsy, I can not tell you how much I like this timelaps. And I can not spur you to continue unabated on the road you took, knowing how much this is often arduous and full of the unexpected.
If a deep hole makes you second thoughts, do not beat at all, because, as our terrible life teaches us, behind every turn, the fate in store for us always some nice surprises.
Many times you have to stay calm and be able to continue, as we know you do! Even the photograph, like tomorrow, there is always unknown. Maybe the perfect photo awaits us slyly around the corner of our fate. And for this reason we must always continue to learn and enjoy the little Soddisfazioni that life can give us. Continue to march on this narrow path because I am sure that the fulfillments, the important ones, will start showing up and smile at you. If a mountain trail (mountain that you love so much) is impervious, this will not discourage you reach the top that have been set! And You know this very well. Also because I know for sure how good you are at work that always dreams of doing. Especially how much effort and professionalism you put in every single photograph, always to get the best that this hobby can give us so many times! Hello from one that can only envy you, and especially good way! ;-) :-)

Fulvio .. What can I say?! Thank you very much .. For the trust that you give me, because I do continue to believe in my dreams! Every other Thanksgiving would be stupid in front of your beautiful words, which to me are like poetry ..

Congratulations Gabriel, really a great job. And if this is what you have learned in the ws, who knows what else will produce!
Ah, I really like the initial intro with clouds and titles. :-)

I confirm that the management of the opening credits was a beautiful genius ... is already quite a prologue to the rest of the movie ... ;-)

Thanks to Riki and Cobarcore! And again thanks to Super Fulvio! It 'a little over a year that I threw myself on timelapse (unfortunately neglecting the actual photograph ..) and I'm trying to grow slowly, from shooting to get to the passing of the post-production editing photos / videos. I'm a newbie video industry, just do not know anything .. I'm slowly trying to learn, but the color management in a video I find it much more complex than a single photograph. Even the use of After Effects I admit that it is not easy .. But slowly, after having thrown away several times of sunrises and sunsets, I'm learning various "tricks" the incredible world of timelapse. Thanks again to everyone for the support: my next "film" (what a word ..) will be called "Autumn in the Alps"! I hope to complete it by the end of the summer ..

Well Gabriel what to tell you, who knows you knows the effort it took you to make this wonderful work and I must admit that although it seems that it is only a year that you are a "timelapsaro" ... I can not wait to see the next!
