Nelle Dolomiti non è facile avvistare e filmare o fotografare il Gallo Cedrone, ma quando ciò avviene si è certi di aver "catturato" uno degli uccelli tetraonidi più affascinanti e misteriosi. Sapevo più o meno dov'era localizzata l'arena di canto del Grande Gallo, ma non conoscevo esattamente i singoli alberi dai quali emetteva il proprio canto. Decisi quindi di dormire nella zona prescelta, nascosto e protetto in mezzo ai mughi.
