Lands of Clouds and Wind è un video che raccoglie un sunto del lavoro fotografico che ho realizzato nel Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso - Laga negli ultimi anni. E' un racconto della bellezza della natura di quei luoghi ed anche della passione che mi ha legato ad essi per tanti anni. Le montagne del Gran Sasso hanno esercitato su di me una straordinaria attrazione sin da quando, tanti anni fa, le vidi per la prima volta. Grazie anche alla frequentazione della sezione CAI del mio paese ho cominciato a recarmi sempre più spesso in Abruzzo alla ricerca della libertà e del contatto con la natura. Portavo spesso con me la fotocamera, più che altro però per accompagnare e documentare le mie camminate sui ghiaioni assolati e fra le nubi delle cime più alte. Verso la fine del 2009 ho cominciato a dedicarmi seriamente alla fotografia di paesaggio. E' stato naturale a quel punto provare a fotografare in modo finalmente degno i territori del Parco, inizialmente soprattutto la zona di Campo Imperatore ed il lago di Campotosto. Con il passare del tempo ho poi maturato l'idea di realizzare un racconto fotografico focalizzato sull'alternanza delle stagioni, ispirato anche dalla straordinaria varietà paesaggistica di questo angolo di Abruzzo che, man mano, cominciavo a conoscere in modo più approfondito. In questo video c'è qualcuna fra le immagini più significative scattate in questi anni ed è un piccolo viaggio nell'alternarsi delle stagioni, dalla primavera sino all'inverno. Spero possa trasmettere anche solo una piccola parte delle emozioni che la natura mi ha regalato in questo lungo ed intenso viaggio.
