Strano comportamento Rokinon/Samyang 14mm 2.8

Ciao a tutti,

oggi facendo un confronto fra la lente in oggetto e il Canon 17-40 mi sono imbattuto in un fenomeno che non mi spiego, e sul quale mi piacerebbe chiedere il vostro parere.

Ora, il Rokinon soprattutto agli angoli è più nitido e questo lo sapevamo già. La cosa che non mi spiego è l'andamento della profondità di campo su questa lente...
Il muro, che sarà stato più o meno a un metro dall'obiettivo, risulta sempre perfettamente a fuoco, mentre la scarpa, che è al centro del fotogramma ed era a circa 2 metri, è sfocata... Praticamente è come se avesse una DOF inversa, mette a fuoco prima e dopo un certo range.
Come potete vedere, il Canon si comporta in maniera più prevedibile.

Ora la domanda è: potrebbe darsi che dato lo schema ottico differente, il canon mi consente di focheggiare al bordo estremo del fotogramma mentre il Rokinon richieda di focheggiare più o meno al centro?

Seguirà test con focheggiamento centrale.

io sarò ignorante ma il canon è veramente pessimo da quello che vedo o non ci capisco niente io?

Il canon è una lente nota per avere dei bordi morbidi, considera che questi files sono scattati alla focale minima e senza nessuna correzione, togliendo le CA e dando un po' di nitidezza recuperi. Se scatti a 20mm e dopo f/6.3 è nitido ovunque.
Cosa molto importante, i colori e il microcontrasto sono anni luce avanti rispetto al Rokinon :)
Il Rokinon di contro è più luminoso e più nitido alle focali più aperte.
