Monopiede, testa e consigli per foto sportiva

Ciao a tutti, chiedo il vostro aiuto in quanto sto per iniziare, dopo averlo tanto desiderato, l'esperienza di fotografare a bordo campo durante partite di calcio. Essendo all'inizio e non sapendo se questa cosa avrà un futuro, mi accingo a partire con quello che ho a disposizione: 70-200 f2.8 e D800. Con la mia dotazione attuale mi accontenterò di riprendere solo una zona del campo e la tifoseria di casa sugli spalti (partite di Lega Pro quindi con un buon seguito di pubblico) e magari quando avrò preso dimestichezza riuscirò a regalarmi un tele più specifico per queste occasioni (es. 400mm e oltre).
Fatta questa premessa, volevo chiedere a chi ha esperienza nel campo, un consiglio su un buon Monopiede e relativa testa e qualsiasi altra cosa possa servirmi.
Per il Monopiede pensavo al Manfrotto Neotec 685B con testa rapida 234RC ma accetto qualsiasi altro suggerimento.
