compatibilità sigma 10-20 f3,5 e nikon d7100

Da poco ho preso la nikon D7100 in sostituzione della D5100 e facendo alcune foto con il sigma 10-20 (preso poco più di 1 anno fa) ho notato che rispetto a quanto fatto con D5100 mi sembravano meno nitide.
Ho fatto il test del focus chart ed ho visto che se metto a fuoco attraverso mirino (AF-S su singolo punto) sia a 10 che a 20 mm l'immgine non è a fuoco, cosa che invece non succede se metto a fuoco in modalità live view impostando AF singolo area normale.
Il problema è maggiore a 10 mm rispetto ai 20 mm e con ottiche nikon come 35 o 18-105 non c'è.
Qualche suggerimento? sono noti problemi di incompatribilità di questa ottica con la D7100? è da aggiornare il firmware dell'ottica? se si come si può fare?
