Flash usato: conviene?

Ciao a tutti.
Ho una mirrorless sony (nex 3nl ), senza hot shoe, e mi sto accingendo alla fotografia notturna e open flash.
Lo so, non è il massimo una aps, senza mirino e con un obiettivo kit pancake non concepito per la maf manuale, però, l'ho presa giusto per iniziare, presto la cambierò.

Il flash non mi serve quindi ttl, lo userei in manuale per open flash appunto.

Premesso che non voglio spenderci troppi soldi, (ed effettivamente flash non ttl sono abbastanza economici) vorrei un numero guida abbastanza alto da permetter di raggiungere strutture come fabbriche\silos in tutta la loro altezza.

Me ne hanno consigliati 2 uno nuovo cobra e uno usato.
Il nuovo è il compatto cobra cinese yn 560 che si trova a 50€
L'usato è il più ingombrante metz 45, (che penso funzioni in automatico con rporpio esposimetro) che si trova anche a 40€

La domanda è su quale dei 2 mi conviene stare? Ha senso prendere un Metz usato, non sapendo quanto è stata usata la lampada?
Io sarei più propenso per il cinese nuovo, e un domani, se mi servirà un flash ttl cobra, prenderlo con la nuova fotocamera.

E' vero che il Metz 45 ha qualche n° guida in più e si può usare con la fotocamera,inserendo i parametri manualmente, ma c'è la grossa incognita dello stato della lampada, che presumo non sia infinita, e il suo costo, ammesso che si trovi ancora, è superiore al costo dell'intero flash presumo.
