Hi everyone,
I have been photographing birds for the last two years with a good 600mm/f6.5 ED triplet astro telescope. Samples here:

Problem is, I miss too many shots because of focusing problems, especially when things move, which birds tend to do! So I would like to upgrade to a 500/4. The MkII is too far out of my reach financially, so I am looking for a good Mk I. PM would be appreciated.

I did have mine for sale but changed my mind for now love this lens ! I don't not feel the series II is worth the extra $..
