Hi there,

It’s been a while since I wanted to buy a medium format panoramic camera, especially a 6x17 cm one. I already have a KMZ Horizon and it’s just extremely fun and definitely worth having fewer shots per roll, so it doesn’t really scare me to only get 4 pictures with a 120 film.
About the camera, I would use it mainly for landscapes and possibly handheld, sometimes using a tripod, of course.
I’ve seen different options and wanted to ask you guys if you have any thoughts or, even better, experience with some of them.
The first one I’ve seen is, of course, the beautiful Fuji G617 with the Fujinon 90mm f/8. The only problem I have with this one is the price: the cheapest one I could find in okay/decent condition is about 2,750 € for the complete kit (case, ND filter, and lens hood).
It was then definitely natural to look at 3D-printed and cheaper options (Chroma, for example), but if I can be extremely honest with you, they don’t really seem to be that cheap for what they offer, IMHO.
I then looked at some metal-built Chinese options with what seem to be stunning lenses. To be more precise, I’ve looked at the Fotoman 6x17 with a Schneider 180mm f/5.6 (but Jesus Christ, it’s about 2,000 €) and a wide-format Da Yi 617 with a Nikkor SW 90mm f/4.5 for about 1,600 € with a lens hood and some other accessories. The last one seems interesting not only for the lens itself but also for the chance to use the camera with different formats: 6x17, 6x14, and 6x12; and also for the shift mechanism (I also like to shoot architecture a lot).
I wanted to ask what do you think about the options I’ve looked at and/or if you have some other suggestions that I’ll gladly take.
Do you think I should keep looking for slightly cheaper deals on the Fuji, for example, or if the Da Yi could be an interesting camera? About the latter one, I looked at different reviews and they are really positive, but still we are talking about what could be a big purchase for me, money and photography-experience wise, so I’m a bit scared when it comes to potential problems this camera could have.

Thank you so much for the attention, guys!
