Non avendo trovato un confronto diretto tra questi due obiettivi, approfittando del cashback ho acquisto l’Olympus 40-150mm f/4 ( possedevo già il Panasonic 14-140mm )

Ho scattato a 200 ISO, senza filtri, limitandomi a fare solo qualche piccolo aggiustamento all’esposizione.
Ho testato gli obiettivi a 40 mm, 70 mm e 150 mm / 140 mm.

Ad una rapida occhiata sembra un pelo più nitido lo Zuiko 40-150 ma il tuttofare Panasonic non sembra mostrare particolari criticità a confronto, se ridimensioniamo i file sono molto simili.

Lo Zuiko 40-150 F4 è si ad apertura costante ma non è moltiplicabile, leggero ma perché ci troviamo davanti ad un F4 su m43 con un prezzo sull'usato di 600€..non proprio economico. Non esistono alternative, da qui la sua fortuna per chi cerca comunque compattezza. È marchiato Pro ma ci sono differenze operative tangibili rispetto ad un normale tropicalizzato? Un 70-300 4-5.6 FF rimane comunque versatile ed economico con maggiore sfocato.

Aggiungo una nota, in altro luogo mi hanno fatto che il Panasonic 14-140mm è soggetto a shutter shock, ci sono 2 set di immagini: una in elettronico e una in meccanico ( prima tendina ).

Quelle in elettronico sono leggermente meglio ma la differenza tra le 2 ottiche è notevole.

Dipende sempre dove guardi il risultato finale, sotto i 60mm ( reali dell'ottica ) performa decisamente meglio.
Il 14-140mm è piccolo, compatto e leggero. Può essere anche un ottima lente di scorta.
